Last month on January 29 the South Pasadena Democratic Club sponsored a phonebanking evening in support of Measure S. Above are some photos from the event.
In South Pasadena Unified School District (SPUSD), we are proud to have a community that supports our schools. Local voters approved Measure S in 2009 to maintain student success in South Pasadena schools and renewed this locally-controlled education funding in 2013. This local funding is now set to expire, which would lead to $2.3 million in annual education cuts in local classrooms. This means our local schools would face increased class sizes, teacher layoffs and reductions in academic programs.
